Assistance Programs

Oregon Junior Golf is proud to support all youth hoping to make golf a regular part of their childhood.  We offer programming dedicated to lowering the intimidation and cost of golf as well as financial assistance and discounted and free entry into our competitive events.  We are thankful to the hundreds of donors, including businesses, foundations and individuals who allow us to bring this great game to every youth hoping to play.

Jacobsen Youth Initiative

This initiative focuses on lowering the costs for underserved junior golfers while also providing multiple avenues to reduce the intimidation that often deters the beginner and non-golfer from taking up the game.

Youth on Course is a subsidy based program aimed at providing a low cost option that allows underserved youth the opportunity to play the game on a regular basis for no more than $5 per round.  It is now active at dozens of golf courses throughout our region.

The Erling Jacobsen Tour provides a stress-free environment to play the game without competition.  Oregon Junior Golf hosts over a dozen events annually where young golfers meet and play with other youth in a fun and friendly setting.

Partnerships

Oregon Junior Golf is a proud supporter of the First Tee of Greater Portland, the Children's Course, Leisure Hour Junior Golf Program, Summit Golf Foundation and many smaller junior golf programs throughout the region.

Our partnerships range from financial support, in-kind donations, awareness campaigns, complimentary memberships and discounted or free entry into our programming events.

We know how much these programs do to support the next generation of golfers and good citizens and look forward to continuing our strong connection in the years to come.

Financial Support

Oregon Junior Golf believes access to golf is a life changing experience and is committed to helping youth, regardless of their financial situation, reach their dreams.

Our assistance programs provide over $10,000 annually in discounted and no-cost entries to our events.  If you are a youth, or the parent or guardian of a youth, who is experiencing financial hardship and have an interest in participating in Oregon Junior Golf programs, please reach out to us with a request.

While we do not have a set criteria for how we distribute financial support, we believe a motivated young golfer should never be turned away from the game when the only barrier is cost.
