Youth on Course
In 2012, Oregon Junior Golf introduced the Jacobsen Youth Initiative which focuses on lowering the costs for underserved junior golfers while also providing multiple avenues to reduce the intimidation that often deters the beginner and non-golfer from taking up the game. The initiative has two unique parts: Youth on Course and the Erling Jacobsen Tour.
Jacobsen Youth Initiative
Youth on Course is a subsidy based program aimed at providing a low cost option that allows underserved youth the opportunity to play the game on a regular basis for no more than $5 per round. It is now active at dozens of golf courses throughout our region.
The Erling Jacobsen Tour provides a stress-free environment to play the game without competition. Oregon Junior Golf hosts over a dozen events annually where young golfers meet and play with other youth in a fun and friendly setting.
